We are now Voltaic

Sparky started out in 2019 as a small friend discord, with various tips and tricks for different games. With the rising popularity of KovaaK’s FPS Aim Trainer, we decided to invest some resources into expanding Sparky to the community it is today. Starting with “Sparky Aim”, we created an aim group dedicated to finding and spreading information about the best ways to improve aim through training.

We started with routines, benchmarks, and then ranks by popular demand, in order to create an incentive for improving. Our concept was quite popular and the discord got an incredible boost in growth (17K+ members) ever since we created the benchmarks. As time passed, we decided that we wanted to be more than just an aim group, as it did not quite align with our goals. The point of Sparky was to promote self-improvement in all areas, which led us to create Voltaic.

Sparky attracted both people who love to grind the benchmarks as a sort of minigame, as well as people who joined to train their aim for in-game performance. We are proud that we’ve granted ranks to over 1000 people. However, we also recognize that there are flaws in the ranking system as a rank is not fully representative of your skill. Regardless, we want to ensure that our priority is creating and providing the most effective practice possible. To carry our vision forward, we have created various resources and guides devoted to increasing player performance including (but not limited to): overall and game specific aim improvement, health and nutrition, the ideal mindset and so forth. Sparky has also hosted a boxfight tournament for Fortnite and a 2v2 aim arena tournament for Diabotical, and we will continue to look for more opportunities to involve the community.

A lot has changed since Sparky was first created, and our goal has always been to incentivize self improvement in various shooter games. One thing we’ve focused on for the most part was aim (training), and we’re definitely not moving away from that. Instead we want to branch out on a few more core components. We want to showcase accomplished competitive players, and those with incredible in-game mechanics. Therefore, we are happy to announce we are recruiting people into our content team, as well as starting to produce content ourselves with players, community figures, and other creators, to get you guys educational entertainment.

So what are the key points of the rebrand?

We want to:

1. Branch out and focus more on content creation by creating our own team to provide more resources for self improvement and entertainment on multiple platforms, in the form of video content on YouTube, documentation on our website/discord, and simple tips on twitter.
2. Improve the coaching scene, by experimenting with different methods such as live coaching, analysis reports and transparency (insights on our work).
3. Focus on talent discovery to create attractive opportunities for both known professionals as well as upcoming players.

How do I join Voltaic?

The main team for Voltaic is invite-only at the moment (we may open applications at a later time). We are looking for valuable content creators that have common interest with our vision as well as talented players, pros and people who have exceptional in-game aim.

The Voltaic main team will consist of specially invited high tier content creators and skilled players alike.

However, you may apply for Prospects or join the Community at any time. Check the roles channel in our discord to see what the requirements are for Prospects and Community (we are adding these as we speak, bear with us).

Joining the Community allows you to build your way up to join the Prospects, and as a Prospects-member you can graduate to the main Voltaic team.
